The creations of the glass designer Milan Hujsa are covering very wide thematic field. He creates the glass plastique, illuminations, unique glass gems, glass solitaires, monumental glass art and sport glass medals.

Here the dominates of his creations are optical plastique that was presented at his own exhibitions during the years 2007-2010.

Milan Hujsa started his designers life in the time when in Slovakia the free creation of the graduated designers of the VŠVU (University of Art) – glass creation in architecture in Bratislava reaches the high level. In the context of the Slovak glass art was for Milan Hujsa not easy to find the possibilities of his own way of the glass art. During these studies in Kamenický Šenov he exactly explores the unique and non-repeatable qualities of the glass, special recaptures and techniques of the glass enhancing.

As a first source of inspiration for him here is the form of the basic material – the glass.

Milan Hujsa here joins the relativity of the master and the invention of his design. With the composition of the particles with elementary character he creates the logical formal composition. By the finishing enhances the optical qualities, purity of the glass base and by the help of the light he makes active the inner area of the glass plastique in the variations of the structural lines. The architecture of the geometrical forms of his creations is changed by inlaying of the color glass components that plays in the glass material as a scale of the color projection.

Milan Hujsa realizes every time more and more creative architectonic tasks by his artistical glass creations. By the disconnecting of the geometrical form and by the connecting of the clear, mirrored, and unclear parts he creates the confrontation of the materials and associations. Here are non-important the outer effect, but the internal feedback, composite and feeling of the different materials in the effective architectonic composition. Every plastique is created sophisticatedly at the base of glass optical performance. The final effect starts just in the time of creation that’s reveals the new points of view and new forms of this optical object. By enhancing of the professionality of the technical realization and intuitive revealing of the new forms of the glass leads Milan Hujsa by the changing of the exact

geometrical forms to the organic oval forms, covering the forms connecting with another components, triangles and engraved lenses feeds at the top to the overlaying one plastique to another one.

The author verificated the new creation principles from the many points of view and then comes to the free allocation of the plastic variations with the one unique theme.

The optical plastique of Milan Hujsa are the unique glass arts with analogic geometrical and natural forms with use of signs, symbols, impressions and echo resonating in the content and actual time.

Glass designer Milan Hujsa creates during his life arts of the significant artificial quality and this all is then the organic part of the progressive development in Slovak glass art.
