Iveta Kormanová

Iveta Kormanova was born on January 1 st , 1970, in Kosice. She has been fascinated by painting since childhood and painted with various techniques until she decided to stay with oil painting. Because she spent a lot of time in nature, she found her world there, which she first transferred to photography, which she studied in 1987 in the Czech Republic in Polna near Jihlava. Later she started with drawing, acrylic painting, creation of small decorations, decorating and arranging spaces. She created various other art techniques, such as painting with enamel technique, for which she is also certified. At that time, working in a production cooperative in the Bratislava studio opened the way for her to learn how to transfer photography on canvas. In order to achieve the feeling of a photographic image by hand painting, she was forced to improve. In this way, she acquired the skills so much needed for the creation of which she has been working until now. She became self-taught in the direction of painting, especially when painting landscapes.

She has participated and is still participating in various competitions, presentations, where she has won many awards, even abroad. She was invited to a number of important symposium where she was quite successful. For example, in 2019, on the World Day of Art, at the opening of the House of Art House of Arteska in Detva, she was selected along with another 25 artists in Slovakia. She was a member of the International Art Symposium in Veľká Paka (2017), and she was also invited and attended the symposium in Lehnice (2020 Benyovszky Family Mansion) where she received the highest award. She has also presented and is presenting at author exhibitions, for example SILENT WHAT HEALS THE SOUL (2019, Bratislava), IN ACCORDANCE WITH NATURE (2020, Bratislava), EXHIBITION 15/14 (2019 Arteska House of Art, Detva). She is currently preparing paintings for the Atelje Art Murn International Institute (Crystal Palace, BTC City Ljubljana) where she was invited to the ART EXPO art fair in Ljubljana.

She paints classically, with oil paints, on various surfaces. In addition to canvas, also on wood, glass or directly on the walls. Her domain and her most popular motif are landscapes.

Today, the author lives and works in Veľký Ďur, Levice district, where she also specializes in children art enthusiasts. We believe that just like her, her students will find their island of joy in art.
