Chubut is one of the provinces of Argentina. It is located in the southern part of the country, in the west it is separated by the Andes from Chile, and in the east its natural border is the Atlantic Ocean.
The author comments:
The name of the province comes from the Techuelcha language, in which chupat means transparent, and this word was used by the natives to describe the Chubut River.
