Danuše Markovová

Graduated from the University of Ostrava in the study programme Fine Arts / Czech language.

Member of the Union of Visual Artists of the Czech Republic (2005)

Nowadays she is engaged mainly in painting. She conceives her acrylic canvases in closed cycles: Industrial Ostrava, Prague Kaleidoscope, Fairy Tale Times, Moon Rhythms, A Lost Dog, Water Landscape and many others.

Her paintings give an impression of purity and truth, they deeply reflect the never-ending cycle of life as a part of cycle of nature.

She has created many wall paintings for children in public areas.

In 2012 she published her own book of fairy tales called Psíkov (Dogland) in the publishing house Albatros.

She has participated in about twenty collective exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland and ten solo exhibitions in the Czech Republic.

Her paintings are numerously represented in private and public collections.
