Natália Junasová

Natália Junasová is a young (born 1990) Slovak artist from Partizánske. Already as a child, she showed a strong artistic talent and extraordinary children’s imagination. In the years 2005 – 2010 she studied Applied Painting at the Private Conservatory of Applied Arts Dezider Kardoš in Topoľčany and subsequently at the same school she graduated in the field of Promotional Art, Manual Textile Processing. Her paintings have a high degree of artistic abbreviation, which she achieves with the help of mostly outlines of simplified objects created by linear strokes and a strong color. In her works, according to her own words, he examines microbiological relationships, the functioning of various phenomena in the world around us, and focuses on ancient cultures and their legacies when he observes natural human curiosity. She does not avoid examining the consumer society and the social relations in it and the emotions in the elementary form. Her goal is to arouse reflection on serious issues through positive emotions. All her paintings are marked in the lower right corner with a wooden label with the name.

In 2022 she received the award of the expert jury at the Biennial 2022 in Prešov (Caraffka Gallery).
